There currently is a controversy regarding whether and to what extent Barnard women will continue to be eligible to participate in sororities. This is false. There is also a great variety of extracurriculars at Wisconsin. You can join a frat/sorority and surround yourself with that culture, but the majority of Columbians are unaffiliated with Greek life and apathetic toward it. Greeks have enjoyed a vibrant and dynamic existence at Stanford, and today represent 25% of the undergraduate student population.
